And the Oscar goes to...

The Oscar's were on last night. I know this isn't that exciting for most people. But to me. Well, it's like my Superbowl. Having studied theatre through college and spending time studying film in LA I find it personally rewarding to see others honored for their hard work and dedication to the arts. Everyone invests so much into each production. It's hard work, but they make it look effortless. I take notes as to what films I need to watch. I have a long list from last night. I won't be taking any calls off hours for weeks. ;) The technical side of both theatre and film has always amazed me. How often have you ever pondered the amount of time and effort it took to make that one sound effect, visual effect, costume design, set design, the mixing of music and sound... Probably never. The details in film is what separates a good movie from a great one. I love the details. Not just in film. In life as well. I would encourage you all to take the time today to thank those in your life who work 'behind the scenes' and have the ability to turn a good day into a great one.
